Associate Dental Surgeon

Dr Ian Pang graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) from the University of Queensland. He gained invaluable experience caring for the dental needs of patients in government hospitals such as the Oral Health Centre, Ipswich Community Dental Clinic and the University’s Rural Clinic. He also has gained experience treating patients under general anaesthesia at the Ipswich Hospital. In his final year, Dr Pang was awarded the Colgate-UQ Undergraduate Research Prize for his team’s research in potentially preventable emergency department dental conditions in West Moreton. 

Practical experience in various public dental clinics across Queensland allows Dr Pang to optimise dental care for patients from diverse backgrounds with differing needs. Dr Pang’s passion for service has led him to serve in volunteer organistions both locally and abroad in Mount Alvernia Assisi Hospice, Agape Village, A-Call-To-Share (Phnom Penh/ Battambang) since his schooling years. 

In the clinic, Dr Pang strives to provide holistic patient-centred dental care. He fully subscribes to the notion of life-long learning and regularly participates in continuing dental education and hands-on workshops both locally and overseas. In his free time, Dr Pang enjoys travelling, good food and spending time with his family.
